Happy Birthday Mrs. O

Image by Yuri Gripas / Reuters

Today marks the 46th birthday of First Lady Mrs. O. Mrs. O has been treated with a few celebrations over the past few days, first with White House staffers on Friday, and last evening, with the president and a group of Chicago friends. Last evening the group spent more than four hours at Nora in Washington, D.C.. Lynn Sweet has the full scoop, here. Mrs. O chose a black dress for the fete, topped by a black coat embellished with gold lattice detailing.

Update: A gold star for reader Kathryn, who reports that Mrs. O's coat is Narciso Rodriguez, as seen here.

Below, White House staff closed the week by honoring the First Lady's birthday on Friday. The first lady wore a watercolor print, ruffled blouse for the occasion.
