Plans this evening?

In their first post-election interview, Steve Kroft of 60 Minutes sits down with president-elect Mr. and Mrs. O. 7:00PM ET tonight on CBS.

Update: Luxaholics raises a good question: does anyone recognize Mrs. O's deep purple tweed ensemble? We've done a bit of research and talked to our contacts, but haven't had much luck thus far. The group effort has been successful in the past; let's try to crack this one together.

The Chicago Tribune has come to rescue: "Purple and Pinto prove a winning pair yet again for Michelle Obama. On 60 Minutes Sunday, Obama wore the 'Eme' top and 'Rani' skirt in an iris color, designed by Chicago's Maria Pinto. The ensemble is from Pinto's spring collection, but rendered in tweed for Obama, a loyal Pinto client. The sleeveless element was retained from the original design."

I love their connection. They both are amazing. Michelle's black dress is rocking...

As expected, Mrs. O's outfit was on point. They are a fantastic and authentic couple and I'm confident that president-elect Obama would lead this country in the right direction

Mrs. O has looked great post-election. Though her dress (possibly a coordinated shell and skirt) appears nearly black here, I'm almost certain it's actually a deep purple tweed. More purple! I bet the color forecasters are taking note.

I LOVE THEM !
They are the most down to earth, intelligent, articulate couple. They seem so grounded and unpretentious. And so modern and effortlessly stylish.
We are going to be in such capable hands - the next eight years are going to be amazing and like nothing we have ever seen.
What an exciting time to be an American.

Love Love Love this site - and since I have lunch at my desk almost everyday - this is the perfect dessert. I did not see the interview yet, but I saw clips and she really looks great. I also love the idea of she and Madame Sarkozy having a fashion off for the next few years.

I think the color is closer to a gray. The pearls are a good touch.

She looked perfect. And they came across as very happy together and ready for this next step in their lives.

Her outfit from 60 minutes is by Maria Pinto.

I read that article in the Washington Post also that was implying that Kai Milla might design her inauguration gown. Oh the speculation!
