While in Hawaii

Photos by Charles Dharapak, Susan Walsh / AP Images

The President and First Lady arrived in Hawaii on Friday evening in preparation for the APEC Summit. Prior to the Summit dinner, Mrs. O visited MA’O Organic Farms in Waianae, Hawaii, which has a mission of "growing organic food and young leaders for a sustainable Hawaii." For travel and day-time events, Mrs. O turned to two day dresses. Does anyone recognize the second?

Update: The first lady wears a navy cotton poplin dress by Narciso Rodriguez from the designer's Resort 2011 collection.

Welcome Home President Obama! I know it must be nice for him to see his family and old friends and just get away from Washington for a few days. "no panic, go Organic!" I love it.

As a Hawai'i resident, I am very proud of Ma'o Farms! For more photos of Mrs. O and the event, have a look here: http://www.nonstophonolulu.com/blogs/michelle-obama-visits-mao-organic-farms/

I like both of these dresses. In fact, the black and white dress certainly looks as if it would be enough on its own without the return of the under-bust belt. It's a pretty dress and the belt does nothing for it. That type of belting is a thing of the past...thankfully!

Is the second photo showing the navy Isobel Toledo dress Mrs. O wore to the DNC in 2008? On that occasion she accessorised with a brooch.

The black and white dress looks like one that I have from Ann Taylor (from Spring 2011) ...

Please tell me what Mawaii is. I'm from Hawaii and have relatives in Waianae. Mawaii does not exist. I used to love this blog, but it is misrepresenting my home. Why not bring a spotlight to the the hundreds of homeless people on Waianae's coastline? All smiles and sunshine for the internet and politicians, but that is hardly the case.

@English Observer, I first thought the same, but in fact it's Narciso Rodriguez.

@Cook Cook, Mawaii was a typo. I do my best to thoroughly proofread this site, but mistakes are inevitable.
