The 2012 Kennedy Center Honors are being held this evening, and for the occasion, the first lady has chosen a Michael Kors gold lamé chiffon encrusted shoulder gown from the designer's Resort 2013 collection paired with earrings by Moritz Glik. Can you say gorgeous?!

I feel like the others that have posted here......I cannot hardly wait for the inauguration. I know she'll knock it out of the park, that's for sure.
I was actually blessed to be one of the performers at the Kennedy Center for this event! This dress looked even more amazing in person. Mrs. Obama is such an icon. I absolutely adore her, and think she hit the nail on the head with this one. There are two outfits I am super excited about: the Christmas in Washington taping (this Sunday) and her entire Inauguration wardrobe (from her gown to what she wears to the ceremony). I can't wait to see what she wears then. This is my first time commenting on here, but I check this site daily. Thanks for all you do!

Gold is back. I'm using it in my decorating, as well. It's the most versatile color in the palette!

I agree with an earlier post from the Cincinnati Kid. We should have a contest here on the blog...who we think she will wear during the Inauguration. I vote for Naeem Khan or Marchesa! Let the count down begin.
