What an honour to have dinner with the first lady ! I'd like to see more of the dress though, it looks lovely.

looks like she switched out the belt and used one of her own. i'd also love to see a full length pic of her in this dress. to see what kind of shoes she paired it with. and to see if she took 2 dresses and lengthened this one. because on the model on the website, it hits quite short on the legs.

For all the Caribbean people - I loved that they ate some Caribbean favorites.

Above all - Michelle knows how to totally rock a $35 dress like no other! Love it!

The dress is longer in person than it look on the model. Then again, I'm 5'6", and Michelle is probably closer to the model's height. On me, it hits just a couple of inches above the knee. I wouldn't hesitate to wear it to work or church.

IMHO, I think a red cardigan to pick up the red in the dress, and no belt, would have looked great!

Christen, I saw the dress, the belt is a must have!!! Then I think that red cardigan would be to much.
I insist, she did it perfect-colorful,but not screaming! She's the best!!!

Forgive me, I know it’s late in the game, but I have to say….
She looks so precious in this outfit. :>)

Peace.

post #2 :-) i totally had to have this dress once i saw it on the First Lady. especially since it's one of the more affordable looks she's sported lately lol! and thanks for the full length picture of this dress. i'm 5'6" like LizaJae, and it hit right above my knees. at 5'11", i'm most certain the First Lady had it lengthened, it would have hit her lower thighs lol! i like her pairing with the red belt, but it also looks lovely with the original yellow belt. definitely must be worn with a belt, because otherwise it looks like a muumuu. the colors are way more vibrant in person. normally i never buy dresses full price (even at Target lol!), but these Jason Wu dresses are flying off the racks and i knew it wouldn't make it to sale. but for $40, it's not bad at all.
