Mrs. O on Letterman

The First Lady appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman last evening wearing a colorblock Preen Pre-Fall 2012 dress and Alexis Bittar marquis pin. Lovely!

P.S. For a fundraiser the same night, Mrs. O wore an inkwash silk printed panel dress from the Reed Krakoff Spring/Summer 2012 Collection, seen here.

Let's hear it for color blocking. Love the pin and glossy hair!

Mrs. Cameron just wore a colorblocked dress in similar colors for the White House arrival. It would have been funny to see them side by side! I like the diagonals at the top of this one.

Is that the pin from the 2012 State of the Union?

Boy does our First Lady look stylish and confident in that beautiful ensemble. Her figure is fantastic and makes me work on myself all the more. I like the cool blue and green shades on her.

She looks fantastic. She pretty much always looks fantastic. But what I loved about this clip from the interview was that she was completely charming. Authentic. Ironic. (I mean, does anyone believe POTUS never complains to her about Congress? Come on!) Sincere. Funny.

Remarkable woman.

Oh, how I covet that Alexis Bittar marquis pin! It looks great with what Mrs. O. is wearing. Sure wish I could find a reasonably priced substitute for Bittar's jewelry.

That's a simple dress made stylish with the addition of that pin......clever!
Color blocking is really in this season. The dress has the same colors as the one Samantha wore last week. I think we'll be seeing alot more of this. I actually like it alot.
I like how our Michelle is so poised and seemingly effortlessly charming. I bet she puts people at ease even when they may feel intimidated or nervous when in her presence. That is truly a gift that I pray that keeps on giving!

Beautiful and delightful! I think she had more fun with Dave than Jay. It seems Mrs O has influenced design with all the bright colors we are seeing for spring and summer--menswear too! ;-)

Does anyone know who designed the dress she wore to the fundraising event that same day? I've only seen one photo of it and it was a side view.

I love the style and lines of the dress. Creates a beautiful profile on the right person and she is so right!

What a cute interview! They played off each other so well. Great dress and pin. But "pre-fall"? In March??

Mrs. O looks just great in this. Love the color blocking! And I love the jaunty angle of the pin.

Charlene, have you seen this footage of Mrs. Obama greeting White House visitors? It's a master class in grace and putting people at ease--and she does it for 90 minutes! http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2012/02/16/first-lady-michelle-obama-surprises-white-house-visitors

@ Thumper: I think that pin was pre-fall for last year. I saw it last year in their SF shop, and I believe we've seen her wear it before.

This is a cute dress, but what stood out to me was her hair. Her hair was LAID for this interview!! The interview was sooooo cute and funny. I've watched it twice already. The full version is on youtube for those of you who missed it.

Thanks Mrs. T for posting the dress that she wore to the fundraiser. I like it, I like it a lot!!

@ Hell's Kitchen, I love when Mrs. O surprises the visitors. Many of the people be so overwhelmed. She is the best. The dress she had on was SUPER CUTE too!

Hey, Hells Kitchen, THANKS for posting that link! I watched the entire video and Mrs. O is just the BEST!! She's so friendly and enthusiastic! While watching her on Letterman and now this video, I kind of stop focusing on what she's wearing after a while b/c her personality just shines over!
