Suit and a Statement Earring

The First Lady spoke at the White House Forum on Military Credentialing and Licensing in Washington, DC on Monday. For the speaking engagement, Mrs. O wore a grey pinstripe suit paired with a purple blouse. The accessory star: Miriam Haskell oxidized silver plated brass earrings with agate crystals and glass.

The earrings are stunning and I like the contrast with the tailored suit, but the bangs are just too much! Does anyone know whether she is growing them out? If so, we can also sympathize with the awkward transitional phase.

This is a very beautiful capture of Mrs Obama. She is very beautiful and these spontaneous moments really capture that.
I love the contrast of the severe pinstripe suit softened with a peek of the soft, deep-cut, purple draping silk.
It's interesting and ironic how in the early days of the campaign she mostly wore variations of the suit and as the campaign wore on, she shed her professional look and began to do more "mum-in chief" soft dressing - and now she's beginning to re-introduce the pants suits into the mix.
I never really paid much attention to Miriam Haskell jewelry when I'd happen into them at Nordstrom, but I just glanced at her website and have a new appreciation for her work. I'll be buying this one piece that caught my eye.

Love this suit! Have we seen a full-length picture? Love the earrings, nail polish and blouse as well. Thank you Mrs. T!

Sorry but I think the bangs are too heavy and long. Love her!

That hair is just ridiculous. When will this bang nightmare be over? When will we see her pretty face again?

Those earings will go with just about any outfit - close up, love the mix of
various jewelled details, created by the designer and even from a distance
still stunning and will make even a simple outfit more fabulous.

Sorry FLOTUS but I don't like the earrings, too ornate for me. And I don't like the long bangs, too overpowering and they hide her lovely eyes. Love the suit and colour of the blouse though :0) x
