Mixed Prints

The First Lady spoke at a screening of "The Powerbroker: Whitney Young's Fight for Civil Rights" at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington, DC yesterday. The screening was part of the celebrations commemorating the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington.

For the event, Mrs. O turned to a festive, mixed print summer frock, paired with two tone, open toe heels. The dress is not yet confirmed as such, but appears to be a new creation from Duro Olowu. The mix of prints is the designer's signature, while the shape and detailing of the dress appears similar to another Duro Olowu frock, seen here. Of note, it would appear Mrs. O has added subtle face-framing highlights.

Update: Mrs. O wears the "Roselda" dress from Duro Olowu's Spring Summer 2013 collection.

Prabal Gurung Print

The First Lady was in New York on Saturday to kick off the U.S. Open Tennis Championships with Arthur Ashe Kids' Day, which encourages kids to stay active. For the event, Mrs. O wore a Prabal Gurung Acid Yellow Flowering Damiana Peplum Blouse from the designer's Resort 2013 collection, paired with white pants and silver sneakers. Yellow certainly seems to be Mrs. O's color for summer 2013!

Back to the White House

President and First Lady Obama returned to the White House yesterday following a week of vacation in Martha's Vineyard. For the return trip, Mrs. O wore a Narciso Rodriguez ginkgo print dress from the designer's Resort 2008 collection, previously seen here.

Summer Floral

The President and First Lady traveled to Orlando, Florida yesterday to speak at the Disabled American Veterans convention before heading to their vacation in Martha's Vineyard. For her speaking engagement, Mrs. O wore a sunny, summery white and yellow floral print dress paired with a white patent leather belt and camel kitten heels. Walking across the South Lawn, Mrs. O clutched a camel handbag and orange cardigan to complete the look.

Update: Thanks to readers who helped to spot the dress, the Rose-Print Dress from Talbots, available here.

Southern Belle

The First Lady was in Louisiana this past week, where she delivered remarks on childhood obesity at the annual meeting of the National Council of La Raza, the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States. As part of the trip, Mrs. O visited Sterling Farms Grocery Store in Marrero, Louisiana, seen above, which opened this past year as part of the "Alliance For A Healthier Generation."

For the trip, Mrs. O wore a Jason Wu custom black printed silk chiffon dress most recently seen during her trip to Africa in early July, here.
