Studio Museum Harlem

First Lady Michelle Obama hosted the spouses of chiefs of state and heads of government participating in the UN General Assembly for a luncheon at The Studio Museum in Harlem on Tuesday. Above, Mrs. O poses for a photo with Michelle Muscat, wife of Joseph Muscat, the prime minister of Malta.

For the event, Mrs. O wore a blue and white, floral embellished dress with a slim belt at the waist. Taupe heels completed the look.

Update: The designer of the blue and white sheath dress is Carolina Herrera. Thanks to all for the tips!

Hidden Gem

While in Africa, the President and First Lady attended an official dinner at the State House in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. For the event, Mrs. O wore a Carolina Herrera tangerine stripe ball skirt paired with a Zero + Maria Cornejo white blouse. The skirt can be seen in Look 17 of the Carolina Herrera's Spring 2013 collection, here.

Thanks to Vivienne, Kathie and Dr. Cheryl for bringing this to my attention.

Mrs. O in Carolina Herrera

The President and First Lady attended a dinner given in honor of President Obama at the Orangerie of Schloss Charlottenburg Palace in Berlin, Germany on Wednesday evening. The dinner was hosted by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and her husband Joachim Sauer.

For the occasion, Mrs. O wore a Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2013 cocktail dress, as seen in the designer's collection here. Bows at the shoulders and statement earrings by Rene Escobar punctuate the festive, formal look.
