Hola Mexico

First Lady Mrs. O arrived at Benito Juarez International Airport in Mexico City last evening for her three-day visit to Mexico. Stepping off the plane, Mrs. O debuted a fabulous blue floral dress, accessorized with a stack of bangles and red ballet flats.

Update: Mrs. O wears the Indigo Floral Jersey Dressby Tracy Reese, available at Nordstrom, here. (Thank you Jill C. for the fantastic tip!)

She looks lovely in the dress. Her body looks great. Her "killer workouts" are showing. Great makeup job and her eyelashes were done well. They really compliment her face.

This dress is fantastic and the colors look great on Mrs. O. This link shows the first lady talking about her pending trip while on Air Force One and it shows her skipping down the stairs off the plane. She's full of energy and LIFE. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_F2OLJ7vf0&feature=player_embedded#!

Yet another dress on my "to get" list.

I would love to see First Lady Obama in some "real heels". It's about time more African-American designers were highlighted. Love the dress.

This dress hits her right below the knees. It looks like she had the designer lengthen the hemline and add a subtle ruffle. I like this even better than the one on the Nordstroms site!

Look out Nordstroms, there will be a run on this dress like nobody's business. Our Michelle is stunning in this dress. She just glows and this dress is like milk...."it does a body good". Perfect dress for Mexico with the bright, vivid colors. I'm just loving those bangles. Great job Tracy Reese!

Casual elegance personified. Both she and the dress move with such ease. What a great choice for this trip!

Who wouldn't love this fabulous indigo blue dress! Michelle looks awesome. I checked out the dress on the Nordstrom site and I think the one Mrs. Obama is wearing has been modified just for her. Her hemline is different (more beautiful) than the one for sale at Nordstrom. I'm sure it's the same designer/dress, just modified at the hem. I'd love to get my hands on the version she's wearing.

Mrs. O must get her dresses specially made, because the dress on the Nordstrom site is much shorter on the model pictured. Mrs. O's dress falls below her knees.

Thanks for the update on the designer, Mrs T. I'm going to order it right now and have it delivered to my friend in NY who will bring it over when she visits next month. This dress is very versatile and I know I will get my money's worth just on the sheer amount of times it will be worn.

She looks gorgeous! This dress actually is by Tracy Reese!!!!

Just got off the phone with the folks at Tracy Reese and, of course, Mrs. Obama's dress was perfectly fitted for her. Supposedly the one that was shot on the model at Nordstroms was a "sample" of the dress so I'm told that what I'll find in the stores will probably be somewhere in between the Michelle Obama version and what's on the Nordstrom site. -- Cover me, I'm going in today!

Nic John may well come on here to make disparaging remarks but on this occasion I agree. This is the least good I have ever seen Mrs O's hair look in my opinion. And I don't like the dress either. I like the print but feel that a print that good would look better on a shift dress. (But that's probably because I don't like flounces and frills. C'est la vie!)

@Posh Here's the point, it is not that I have a problem that you don't like what she is wearing or the way her hair is combed. Why is it that I find Nic John's mind!!!!! so offensive but I am not bothered by what you said?? If I don't like something I never hesitate to say so but how many times does he have to complain about her "big head and her masculine" face. What he says is an attack, in my opinion. I recognize it for what it is. We know how he/she feels but he has to disparage EVERYTIME even when he/she says he/she likes something. That is sick.

Love those bracelets. The scrimshaw one is by Monique Pean. Look at the May 2010 issue of Oprah on page 106. Oprah profiles this jewelry designer as one of the Women on the Rise. FLOTUS is ahead of the pack!

Those jewels are amazing -- I think they are Monique Pean. Please confirm Mrs. T. I needs some jewels for that dress ( I own one myself :))

This dress looks great on Mrs. Obama. I think she may be wearing flats because she knew she was going to be doing a lot of walking.

This is my new favourite dress worn by the first lady and I want it. It's such a girlie dress. I am going to look for it or any dress that resembles it.

I think I was the first on here to comment that this must have been custom tailored for Mrs. O but I only noticed the hemline has been lengthened and the ruffle added to the bottom............I'm now noticing it looks like the bodice was also altered to make it a halter. I like both looks (custom and retail).

Although she looks great lately I have to say, I look back and am missing those sexy side-swept bangs of hers......I think they made her look more youthful. Bangs are great for those of us that don't want to do the Botox thing.

Great Look for the First Lady

I saw this dress featured in O Magazine and had to have it. I ordered it through Nordstrom and didn't like how short it was so I returned it. It is very beautiful, though. She definitely had the dress customized and the hem lengthened.
