Must Read Mrs. O: People

The President and First Lady (and Bo!) are featured in the year-end People magazine. On the style front, Mrs. O looks chic in a Velvet Pleated Blouse by Rachel Roy, available here.

Ha ha! They look like cardboard cutouts. Can't wait to read the article!

Cute blouse. Is it me or do they both appear very unreal looking, is this called photo-shop? They do not look like themselves; very statuelike.

LOVE the Vintage Rich Mauve color our Michelle is wearing, matching our POTUS's tie. Even Bo has a touch of this in his collar. Fantastic! Very, Clean Cut, down to earth parents! And Michelle has lost weight...or should I say ...tightened up her inches...She forever Looks fantastic!! And so does Our Prez!! Happy Holidays to them, the Girls, and First Grandma!!

Do you think that you can post the entire interview?

I think it's the backlighting and the way that they both are standing. I enjoy looking at our First Family, but something about this photo looks "staged". Anyway, I do love the colors, rich wine, deep red, mauve, whatever you want to call it, I like it!!!

When you see the article, the pics do not look artificial at all. Mrs. O. looks fabulous in this beautiful burgundy outfit, which happens to be one of my favorite colors. Mrs. T., I know you said the blouse is by Rachel Roy, but who made the wonderful skirt?

Lovely colours for the photo but it does look photoshopped. In this shot you can see how much Sasha looks like her mother.

really beautiful top. I want it! I love the banter they have with each other and the little story about her cracking him up with her majorette impression. They are the cutest First Couple EVER!

The article sounds interesting, but I don't care for the photo at all. I'm inclined to agree with others here who have commented that this photo appears to be a photoshopped version of President and Mrs. Obama. First, why is Bo, the First Dog, in this picture? Had it been a family photo, I could understand the dog's presence, but not here. Second, where is the President's left arm? It does not appear to be around Mrs. Obama's waistline, yet it does not rest at his side. Third, is this a cardboard cut-out of the President?! (It seems so stiff). And if it is a cardboard cutout, is it even the President's body? In most pictures taken over the last three years, President Obama is much slimmer. Also, why is there a thin white line outlining FLOTOS' skirt on her right side? Is that just lighting or the outline of tracing from a cut-and-paste job? Finally, and even more unconvincing, would President and Mrs. Obama pose at this distance from one another? Let's be honest here. Anyone who follows the First Couple knows that President Obama can hardly keep his hands off his wife in public. Would the couple really pose for a picture with their bodies that far apart?

I have yet to see anything by Rachel Roy that I didn't like. The colour and design of Mrs Obama's outfit is perfect for the festive season.

Seeing Mrs Obama's fantastic curves here, remind me not to let myself go over the Christmas season. No matter how lazy I am feeling, I constantly remind myself that as a professional working woman and a mother, in her pre first lady days, she woke up at 5am to hit the gym.

I have made a pact to continue my Bikram yoga classes as well as my treadmill sessions every day. Kudos to Mrs Obama for inspiring me to take care of my health.

I can't wait to read the article.
LOL, looks like Bo is ensuring his "spot" with the First Lady!

@ Jestina, she does inspire us to get it together and/or keep it together!
I cannot wait to read the article and see the pics up close. As it stands now, that is one overly photo shopped picture. When I saw it, it looked "off", just couldn't quite put my finger on it. But I must say, I enjoy seeing Bo striking his regal pose.
On a fashion front, doesn't that look like the skirt that she wore recently with the Marc Jacobs re-designed dress/top? Both of them look healthy and happy....that's all that matters to me!

What a lovely picture in the beautiful and historic Diplomatic Reception Room.
Aslean Jones is scaring me...smh. Lol! :)

@Aslean Jones POTUS's hand is on her neck. Perhaps with Bo between them they couldn't get close but I get your point, it is an odd pose.

It's a nice photo but agree that it is photoshopped a bit much. The position of Bo's left foot--our right--makes Mrs. O look like she is wearing fluffy winter footwear? Anyone?

That skirt is perfect match. I wonder where I might be able to find it. Does anyone know who the skirt is by?
