Oh how I love the personality of the First Lady. As a lover of presidential history...I have read far too many biographies of former first ladies who had so much disdain for the position and could not wait to leave the White House. Too bad these women did not have the playbook of Mrs. Obama on how to handle the position of first lady. In my lifetime...this is the first person to hold the position of first lady...who actually looks like she is enjoying the opportunity to represent America in such a prestigious position. Mrs. Obama has shown to the country and I dare say the world...how honored and grateful she is to have the privilege to serve her country as first lady.

How fortunate we are to have Michelle Obama in our lives, and she seems to be getting even more comfortable and impressive in the FLOTUS role. I think we're in for a great four years!

What an amazing woman and a remarkable First Lady! She has redefined the role of first lady from the mostly traditionally starchy and Presidential-appendage to one that is vibrant, modern and with a bit more autonomy. And she looks fabulous while doing it.

I once thought that the possibility of her and her husband in of the roles of First Lady and President of the United States as "never in my lifetime." Now (happily), I think of them as "once in a lifetime!" Individually and collectively, I think it'll be a looooong time before another couple can represent, do for, and impact this country (and the world), the way The Obamas have.

Michelle always looks great in J. Crew! Classic, American and colorful. I love seeing the fit, fine, fabulous First Lady in sports- and activewear.

P.S. I'm a big fan of J. Crew's "Ludlow" line for men. The cut and tailoring is impeccable. The passing of winter brings regret that I'll have to retire my Ludlow navy tweed sport jacket--until next winter.
