The President and First Lady flew to Dallas, Texas today, where they will join former presidents in inaugurating the presidential library and museum of George W. Bush. Arriving at Dallas Love Field Airport, Mrs. O wore a pink draped neck dress (a new frock, perhaps?) paired with a black belt and cropped cardigan. Silver heels completed the look.
Update: At the dedication of the presidential center, Mrs. O re-wore a powder blue Zac Posen suit, previously seen here for the official welcome ceremony for British Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha Cameron at the White House in March 2012.
While in Texas, the Obamas also attended a memorial for victims of the fertilizer plant explosion in West, Texas held at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

The dress looks fabulous! @Mrs. T, I think you're right about it being new. I love the metallic pumps with it, but the shrug and belt -- not so much.
Enough with the belts already. And the cropped sweaters.

I used to not be a fan of belts on Michelle but lately she has really been rocking them! The color of this dress is gorgeous and I like the draping on top. I'm curious to see how it looks without the cardigan.
I love the outfit, especially the color of the dress; my guess is they went straight to the "private residence" DNC fundraiser right after the flight to Dallas.

I just opened this up and said, "what??! Snap!" This First Lady just knocks me out. This one is incredible!! The color is fantastic on her and the belt and shrug....just perfection. I WISH I could dress like this and look like her. Mrs. O!!!!
Love the cropped cardigan with this dress. It falls perfectly above her waistline, so that the belt compliments the look. Nice details on skirt. Loving matching accessories, changes the whole look and will make any outfit more complete.
love the knee slit and the almost sash-like band in the dress. I have really liked all the dresses she's worn - been featured here - lately.

I just found this photo where she's wearing a hot ruffle-necked navy halter dress(?) and has her full and beautiful healthy hair in an up-do with a side part and long side-swept bangs. Sexy!
I think this photo must be from 2007 or 2008. I suspect it was at some sort of garden party or fundraiser. She looks really lovely. And for the proponents of wig conspiracies, the full head of luscious, healthy hair is obviously all Mrs Obama's!

@trinisamba, I don't know why but I am thinking DVF. This looks like some of the new dresses she has out now. I saw some on yoox.com and was pleasantly surprised at her using silk chiffons so much.
This is such a pretty color on FLOTUS. On another website the color was rather muted. I would love to see the dress sans bolero. It appears to have an interesting neckline.

@Mrs. T: This Zac Posen suit was actually first worn in the US for the official welcome ceremony of British Prime Minister Cameron and Mrs. Samantha Cameron. Also, is it just me or does it look less " powder blue" here and more grey? Maybe it's just the shadow she's sitting in. But it looks more grey in this and other pictures than the blue she wore at the UK PM welcome ceremony. At any rate, I thought it was a great look for the day and versatile for the subsequent memorial service in West, TX.

I like the dress and I like the belt. (At least it seems like she axed the boob belts forever. I hated them.) This looks fresh and sleek.
