They seem to have an unbreakable bond. Talking, embracing, making sure no one falls down the steps--support. Moments like these that are frozen for us to witness. In these instances, Fashion recedes and Love stakes it place in the forefront.

@McKinley secretary Clinton had a fall on those stairs, you can imagine how viral the video went!
As for the FLOTUS, her new stylist is doing magical things, her wadrobe this spring is amazing!
Mrs.T please post the outfit Mrs.T wore while leaving washington, it was classic too.

I hope you enjoyed your recent downtime, Mrs T, because Mrs O is certainly keeping you busy at the moment! Thank you for all the fabulous pictures. Much appreciated.

I have not been on this site for over six months. What a delight to come back and see how much the 2 girls have grown and to see also how much Mrs. O has changed! She seems to be more statuesque and even more polished than she was before. Just the way Mrs. O stands, her posture, her casual yet restrained manner, the way she somehow has balanced being open and warm within the public eye, yet also keeping a part of herself tucked away and private. It's really something you have to work at and very few First Ladies have been able to achieve it. During the first year or so I thought she was great with her energy, purpose and naturally warm personality. But there was still something missing. (At least that's what I thought). The wardrobe wasn't quite in sync. with the position, there were a few times when I got nervous for her (please don't blast me for these very minor "negative' comments), but now - wow! The woman and the wardrobe have been launched onto the world stage. This is pure joy.

I am liking the layers and mixture of texture and print in Mrs.O's outfit - very feminine, relaxed and refreshing.

Love the color mixture of Mrs. O's outfit. It seems in both pictures of this and their earlier arrival that Michelle and girls have color coordinated. (earlier picture Michelle in burnt orange dress blue shoes - Sasha has a bit of orange and Malia a bit of blue in their outfits) This picture Malia's top looks like the color of Michelle's waistband and Sasha wearing a shade similar as well) So well put together. They all look great and comfortable.

Just saw a short clip of President Obama and the First Family visiting with some local boys and girls playing soccer. Mrs. O was wearing another beautiful green print dress with a bright yellow sweater and the girls were dressed in simple and pretty casual clothes. Hope there will be photos soon!

One of the things that I love about our First Family is that they seem to enjoy each others company. We see them holding hands or always engaged in each other as well as those around them. That is so touching and telling of their love for one another. The fact that they look good doing it, well that's just a bonus for us fashion watchers.
I like the way that they are color co-ordinated without being matchy matchy. Our poor President is relegated to suits, yet he looks dapper in them.
PICTURE PERFECT!

@meta: Here is a pic on Huff Po. Her dress echoes the colors of the Brazilian flag. Great family photo!

@winnie: Ditto for FLOTUS's stylist doing "magical things." The first lady's outfit feels like beautiful, cool island breeze. The colors, the pattern, the textures. ...Day-um!

Honestly, I know I can be a bit theatrical at times but I'm almost ready to cry. This family just pulls at every heart string.

@ McKinley @ Charlene in Detroit - I felt exactly the same way on seeing that picture and before I even read your comments. I love Mrs Obama's outfit (I'm off to the J Crew site NOW) but little Sasha's shoes are fierce.

I know that Mrs T does an amazing job in posting pictures asap so I will not (out of respect for her site and the amazing work that she does) post any links, especially since it is an oversea trips with time differences and what not. But............................

Check out the various websites for truly amazing pictures of their trip in Rio. The picture of them at Christ the Redeemer is AMAZING but Mrs Obama is wearing a breathtaking green skirt.

What is so beautiful to watch is this First Family always participates fully in the local culture wherever they travel. The love and affection they show for one another is so genuine and so deep. Incredible family. That photo at Corcovado is pretty stunning.

I thought the burnt orange geometric print dress Mrs. O wore when they landed in Brazil seemed like something inspired by Sophie Theallet so I went to her website to snoop around. That video of her latest collection took my breath away. Gorgeous, gorgeous work in luscious fabric, radiant color, wonderful embellishment.

Sasha's outfit today is stellar. Love the top and the shoes are indeed fierce, babs!
