On the Town

Image by Jonathan Ernest / Reuters Pictures

The President and First Lady dined out at Tosca restaurant in Washington, D.C. this evening. While Mrs. O never disappoints, the scene stealer tonight may be the President. Love his check sport coat!

They really deserve a night out and away from the craziness. They both look spiffy!

The one thing I always admire about the first lady is her ability to work colours. She has really inspired my own wardrobe and encouraged me to think outside of the box. I love the shades of blue here. The President looks dapper as well.

Did our president do something a little different on the fashion front? Can't wait to see if he'll eventually wear Alexander McQueen. Ha Ha! The First Lady's look is all clean lines and classy cool with understated glam thrown in. Looooovvve it!

Smooth, very smooth :-) (Both of them). And the pop of color: Lovely.

Also, I must say, see how elegantly even those kitten heels finish the look. This is why I'd love seeing Mrs. O wear them more often.

It's nice they get a date night, it's been awhile. And seeing the Pres look less stressed than he had been helps me sleep better too.

They certainly deserve a night out!

Oh yes, high five for the Presidents blazer.

Sunday, May 8, 2011 at 10:21 AM | Unregistered Commenterdalejamaica

I noticed Pres. O's jacket immediately! He's stylin'!!

I also like the wide leg pants that Mrs O is wearing. They look very fluid, yet comfy at the same time. And the electric blue clutch is her signature 'pop' of color. Very cool.

I noticed, in a more zoomed in pictured, on a different website, Mrs. O is wearing a different ring, on her ring finger, other than her wedding ring.

I would love to know more about that ring Mrs. T.

Oh, and the first lady looks great!

This couple never fails to impress! The fact that they are also good at their jobs makes them doubly interesting. Casually attired and elegant looking.

Mrs. O looks ravishing and elegant. I like how she works different dark shades and textures (matte and shiny) for a lively yet classic metropolitan evening look. Of course, she also included a little splash of color for good measure!

The President looks downright charming.

Mrs. O is so beautiful and almost everything she wears, I love; but this outfit isn't my favorite. Maybe it's the pants? She wore those in South America and I didn't like that look at all. Prez O looks great though!

Here's a closer shot of the blouse that Mrs O is wearing. Any idea of the designer? It's looks angular and, possible, off the shoulder...

One word: "Swoon!"

P.S. @Jaylanie2363: High-five and a double-fist bump!

I love the President's Jacket....and of course...The First Lady looks great as usual...i wonder what kind of conversation they will be having at the dinner table....

Mrs O has so inspired me too. I have kind of have a pot belly and I decided to just put a really big bow on it. I can't believe how many compliments I received, and even the bus driver winked at me. I feel so empowered and I have Mrs. O to thank for teaching me to really put myself out there. Thank you!!

Hopefully Our Michelle is humane enough to not celebrate the loss of human life.
She's looking stunning. And Mr. President is purely dapper!

Modern. Sexy. Wow!
Hmmm, did notice the ring on her finger.
The jacket on the the President - Me likey.

That must be a DANIEL HECHTER (Paris) Jacket. My Husband wore the exact jacket yesterday.

She look wonderful, as always. But HE looks so different. I finally became accustomed to the new suits he's been wearing in the last year or so (nice to know there's one perk to being President!), and now he's doing pattern??? Be still my heart.

He looks a little self-conscious, but he'll work into it.

Personally, I give MO all the credit for his sartorial daring.

Notice the length of Mrs. O's stride as she outdoes the men around her in this regard. Her movements convey confidence, elegance, and satisfaction with her own body.

Monday, May 9, 2011 at 1:02 AM | Unregistered CommenterThumper

Is Mrs. O wearing the Reed Krakoff blazer (worn March 18th - "Jet Set") by any chance?

Monday, May 9, 2011 at 1:36 AM | Unregistered Commentercanyongal

They both look great. I really like Mrs O's edgy glamour tonight. The jacket and top are bang on trend - asymetric and metallic, the fluid trousers a nice gentle neutral contrast.

I too would like to know more about the ring.... it looks heeeyowge!

Anyone know where her blouse is from???? Gotta have it!!

Monday, May 9, 2011 at 10:11 AM | Unregistered CommenterLisaP

I just love the romance between the first couple! Michelle looks absolutely stunning I must say. The woman is 47 and still has the body that most 20 and 30 year old women in this country would die for! So elegant!!!!

Monday, May 9, 2011 at 11:47 AM | Unregistered CommenterJeriD

Oh I just love the way he walks behind her.......checking her out! OK Mr. President, we see you, and we don't blame you not one bit! Our President is looking dapper in that plaid sport coat. I hope that they had a quiet night out. I mean really, how quiet can it be with security detail all around and people staring, excited to see them?
They are adorable and for me, it never gets old!

Beautiful people.

They are hitting on all cylinders! The President, V.P., First Lady, and Second Lady are all representing us extremely well...with the troops, in Alabama, military wives, Let's Move. I know times are really tough but I believe they are trying to make things better.

Excellent representation!!! They both look good for their night out!!

Monday, May 9, 2011 at 4:29 PM | Unregistered Commentershyril

@isonprize - thanks for the closeup! That blouse is just spectacular. I too need that clutch.

Monday, May 9, 2011 at 10:01 PM | Registered CommenterBevi

Wow! They both look great! I've never seen a sitting President in anything other than solid navy or grey!

Monday, May 9, 2011 at 10:12 PM | Registered CommenterStrong Foru

They both look great. Michelle is beautiful and President Obama is dashing in the sport coat.

where is that jacket from the one mrs o is wearing

Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 6:20 PM | Unregistered Commenterpums

I think it is demeaning, disrespectful and the epitome of crassness to speculate about the sex lives of our President and First Lady. Yes, they both look absolutely wonderful here.

Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 4:41 AM | Unregistered CommenterChristen

Beautiful picture….Beautiful couple!

Peace

Mrs O's look is chic, fashionable, and very flattering.

But Mr. President here steals the show with that smart jacket.

A nice change for him and a move that would be risky for most men but he pulled it off well because he's just that cool :o)

Love it!
