Welcome Home

The Os returned home from their week long trip that included stops in Russia, Italy and Ghana. Exiting Airforce One, Mrs. O wears a floral print shirtdress by Moschino -- last seen when Joe Biden was announced as the vice presidential running mate last August.

McKinley, I thank you. ;-)

I'd go with what MJMR said too - I follow European royalty a bit and some of those crown princesses are always recycling outfits or elements of outfits. They have to - can you imagine the populace that would think it was great for one of their Royal house to be out in brand new designer outfits day after day?! Course not, they'd have a fit - and quite rightly. For those of us who have been on the blog since the beginning (or watching Michelle since the beginning since the blog came along a little later than the campaign started), we all know that yes, since becoming First Lady Mrs O has worn a lot of new stuff. AND, she's also worn a lot of old things. We've seen repeats of shoes, belts, cardigans, dresses bags.... all sortsa stuff.

We also don't know on what basis some of this new stuff has appeared. It could be hired, bought, loaned, sold on (has anyone been watching Ebay?). Maybe she'll auction some of it off for charity.

I just try and remember that unless I was in the room, I don't know how things are organised.

Posh,

What do you think of Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden's style?

I love that Mrs. O repeats her clothes. Maybe that's a no-no in the celebrity world of high fashion, but guess what? In the real world, we actually wear our clothes over and over and over again. Nothing wrong with that. And why should you re-wear something you love? What I also love is how appropriate Mrs. O always looks. Her clothes are age appropriate and elegant. She never shows too much skin, too much leg or any cleavage. I'm not a prude by any means, but I for one am sick of watching the average populace letting it ALL hang out no matter how revolting it looks. Hopefully, the average woman (and even the not-so-average) will learn from our first lady.

On page 20 nov. 2009, the ladies home journal had this beautiful necklace worn by michelle obama. Could you tell me where to buy it?
